Ask your friends to water your Shell or do it yourself with Zoo-tokens.

Sometimes your friends will request water for their Shells.

If you are quick enough and water it before other friends, you'll get some Pearls in return.

Don't forget to ask your friends to also water your Shell after collecting the Pearls!
